The Bonita Springs Historical Society was formed in 1984 by a small and dedicated group of individuals who shared an interest in discovering and preserving the unique heritage of the area. The Society strives to build enthusiasm about Bonita Springs, and to share historical knowledge with the community.

We are dedicated to preserving the historic McSwain home, which was built in 1915, and ensuring that it remains a lasting symbol of the community's rich history. Our efforts to restore and maintain this landmark property provide a unique opportunity to educate current and future generations about the people and events that shaped our community.
